I don't teach science. Is this for me?

Yes. SEEC South Africa is built around the idea that space is a context for learning and shaping the future across every classroom: English, geography, business, life orientation, history, the arts. Our cross-curricular sessions are designed for educators across every classroom, not just STEM.

Will I get CPD credit?

Every delegate receives a certificate of attendance stating the hours. SEEC South Africa is applying for SACE CPTD endorsement. Once confirmed, the conference will allocate professional development points to attending educators, counting toward your three-year CPTD cycle, and we'll publish the final point allocation as soon as endorsement is granted.

Can my school sponsor my place?

Absolutely. Many schools use their professional development budget for SEEC South Africa. Choose your tickets on the Tickets page and click “Request an invoice instead” next to Pay now. We email you an invoice in your name for everything in your cart and reserve your tickets for 7 days. Once the payment reaches Parklands College, each attendee is emailed their ticket and asked to sign up to claim it.

Can I bring a team from my school?

Yes, and we encourage it. Book 10 or more tickets on one school invoice and 5% off the ticket price is applied automatically when you click “Request an invoice instead” on the Tickets page. Questions about a group booking? Email seec@parklands.co.za.

Where do I stay?

Parklands College is in the Table View / Bloubergstrand area of Cape Town. We've shortlisted nearby hotels and guest houses on our Venue & Travel page. Travel and accommodation are the delegate's responsibility, though we'll do everything we can to make planning easy.

I'm travelling from outside South Africa. Can I get an invitation letter for my visa?

Yes. Email seec@parklands.co.za with your full name as it appears in your passport, your passport number and your ticket order number. We issue invitation letters within 5 working days.

What is the SEEC Houston award?

One delegate wins a place at SEEC 2028 at Space Center Houston. It covers an economy return flight, 3 nights in an allocated hotel with breakfast, and a ticket to attend SEEC. Visa costs, additional nights and meals are at your own cost. The winner is chosen based on social media activity and engagement, and must be a South African citizen resident in South Africa.

What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel for a full refund, less a R350.00 admin fee, until Friday 19 February 2027. After that, tickets and gala dinner add-ons are non-refundable. You can transfer your ticket to another educator at no charge until Friday 5 March 2027. If SEEC South Africa is cancelled, you receive a full refund. The full policy is in our Terms and Conditions.

Will I be photographed?

Photographs and video will be taken throughout the conference and used to report on and promote SEEC South Africa. If you don't want to appear in promotional material, tell the registration desk when you arrive and we'll give you an identifying lanyard, or email seec@parklands.co.za before the event.

Can I bring learners?

Day 3 (20 March) welcomes 50 learners into the conference, by selection. Schools nominate learners and we choose from those nominations. Learner registration opens once the parent and guardian consent form is ready.

Can I present a session?

Yes. See our Speakers page for the full call for presenters, including session formats, expectations and key dates. Proposals close on 30 October 2026. Confirmed presenters attend the full conference free of charge.

How do I become a sponsor or exhibitor?

Visit our Sponsorship page for levels and key dates, or email seec@parklands.co.za directly. We respond within two working days.
