Africa's classrooms reach for orbit

Africa's space economy is projected to reach $39.5 billion by 2030. SANSA reports that South African companies export around $1 billion a year in space-qualified components and satellite systems, against a national target of $10 billion by 2030. That growth needs people, and those people are in classrooms right now. This is not just for science teachers: SEEC South Africa trains every educator to use space as a context for learning, whatever they teach.
SEEC South Africa is a non-profit conference, from 18 to 20 March 2027 at Parklands College Secondary Faculty, Innovation Centre, in Cape Town. It is the first Space Center Houston licensed space educators conference on the continent, and it will run every year.
The audience is educators and school leaders, not industry buyers. SEEC South Africa suits edtech companies, publishers, universities, bursary providers, space companies building a talent pipeline, and corporate social investment budgets.
