Refunds and transfers

You can cancel for a full refund, less a R350.00 admin fee, until Friday 19 February 2027. The admin fee covers payment processing charges, which are not returned to us when a payment is refunded. From 19 February 2027, tickets and gala dinner add-ons are non-refundable.

You can transfer your ticket to another educator at no charge until Friday 5 March 2027 by emailing the new delegate's name and email address to seec@parklands.co.za.

Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 working days. If SEEC South Africa is cancelled, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

Your personal information

We collect only what we need to run the conference: registration, communication, catering, certificates and security. We keep your information until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. Event records we no longer need are deleted within 24 months of the conference. Financial records are kept for five years as required by law.

You can view, correct or delete your information at any time by contacting the Information Officer. The Parklands College POPIA policy and PAIA manual are available at parklands.co.za.

Sharing with partners

SEEC South Africa is delivered with Space Center Houston (USA), Living Maths, Sakhikamva, maxIQ Space and Trinity Preparatory. With your consent, we share your name, school, role and email address with these partners so they can send you information about space education programmes. Space Center Houston is based in the United States, and we share with them only under this consent.

We do not share attendee lists with other sponsors or exhibitors. If you give your details to an exhibitor directly, their own privacy terms apply. Learner information is never shared with partners.

Learners

Learners attending SEEC South Africa sessions are supervised by Parklands College staff at all times while on the programme. A parent or guardian must complete a consent and indemnity form before a learner can attend. Learners must follow the College Code of Conduct and stay in designated areas. Learners are collected from and returned to an agreed point at the times set out in the programme.

Liability and indemnity

Please read this clause carefully. It limits the organiser's liability and places certain risks on you.

You attend SEEC South Africa 2027, including workshops, demonstrations, the drone demonstration and the gala dinner, at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Roth Educational Services (Pty) Ltd, its directors, staff, partners and volunteers are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or illness you suffer, or for the loss of or damage to your property, arising from your attendance. This does not exclude liability for loss caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

You agree to follow all safety instructions given by event staff. You are responsible for any damage you cause to venue property or equipment. The organiser may change the programme, presenters or venue rooms without notice where necessary.

Photography and video

Photographs and video will be taken throughout SEEC South Africa 2027. By attending, you consent to your image being recorded and used, without payment, to report on and promote SEEC South Africa and Parklands College. This includes the College website, social media, newsletters, partner communications and future event marketing.

If you do not want to appear in promotional material, tell the registration desk when you arrive so we can give you an identifying lanyard, or email seec@parklands.co.za before the event. Learners are photographed and their images used only in line with the consent given by their parent or guardian.
